Things are constantly changing in our industry - from hair style and makeup trends, to color, to techniques. As we begin to transition from the winter to the spring season, Portfolio is transitioning, too. Again, we find it very fitting that the start of a new season marks a period of change and transition for us at the salon. Here's a quick snap shot of some recent changes:
At the end of February, we bid farewell to stylist Nikki Singer, who is moving on to pursue being a stay-at-home mother, which we think is just awesome. While we're sad to see her go, we're pleased that she'll get to be with her little ones full-time.
Stylist Dawne Womer was presented with a new career opportunity to become a salon manager at another salon. Her last day with us was on March 7. We are so happy for her and supportive of her career goals, but we will miss her talents, her smile, and sense of humor.
Last but certainly not (never!) least, Diane Dillon, our beloved and wonderful front-end receptionist, retired at the beginning of March. To say that we will miss her and that we're sad to see her go is an understatement. Luckily, she'll still be in the area for a while - so we're looking forward to seeing her visit us at the salon. We can't thank her enough for the years she spent taking great care of our guests and of us.
As you can imagine, we're in a period of great transition, but we can assure you that we will continue to work as a team to provide you with the very best services. Jordan, our in-house skin care expert, is stepping up to the plate to handle front-end duties in between her skin care service appointments. Likewise, everyone on our team is pitching in to keep things flowing while we work to fill-in our staffing gaps.
Just as a new season is about to get underway, so too is it a new season for Portfolio. Sure, we're nervous, but we're also ready to embrace what's ahead. As always, we look forward to having you, our guests, right there with us as we make this exciting transition.
